I am spreading my bodypart training over four days versus three. This will allow a bit more recovery for me which is so important sicne I sometimes only get 5 hours sleep at night. It seems the only night get 8 hours rest anymore is Saturday night. Our church has two services on Saturday afternoons so we attend then and sleep in on Sundays. We fulfill the Sabbath command....that is REST!
Anyway, here is my new split: Day1: Chest/Biceps, Day2: Back/Hamstrings, Day3: Shoulders/Triceps, Day4: Quads/Calves....I go four days straight and then rest in the 5th day. That means I usually train on weekends. This is not an ideal schedule for a busy business/family person....in that case train same split but only Monday through Friday, taking the weekend off. I usually do this once every 3rd cycle through. I train four days on, 1 day off for a couple of weeks straight and then when day 4 of cycle falls on a random Friday I take the follwing two days off and start back over (day 1) ono the following Monday and so forth....Got it?
