MODERATION in EVERYTHING is GOOD!

Moderation.....NOT frequent, NOT every freakin' day! Occasionally...IS GOOD.....If you are dying for that order of trans fat-laiden french fries, or that burger (with grease dripping from the fatty meat, white flour bun and mayonaise!) , EAT IT!!!

Moderation not only in food, but in medications, etc. For example, regardless of what Dr. Mercola or anyone else believes or preaches, I see nothing wrong with statin-therapy for controlling cholesterol. MODERATION dear folks. I am not talking about taking 20 mg per day of Crestor, and I would personally would try something a little more conservative than Lipitor....but I do believe in the A.M.A. (Amer. Medical Assoc.) because it works.....If you have high cholesterol/triglycerides or low HDL try Niacin therapy and purchase some Plant/Phyto-sterols first...but if you nor your physician are happy with the results of supplement therapy, then statins are the next course of action and they will work. They save lifes, they halt plaque formation in its tracks and actually reduce plaque in certain cases....
Do you know what high cholesterol leads to? E.D....friends....that's right, erectile disfunction....impotence.....the inability to have sexual intercourse, who wants that!
I highly recommend the following book: What you must know about STAIN DRUGS, by Dr. Jay S. Cohen, MD...
He recommends the more conservative (as in weaker versions) of statins, such as Mevacor and Pravachol and using lower doses in the beginning, increasing if necessary.....Disclosure: I take 10 mg of Pravachol per day myself.....not because I have high cholesterol, but as a way to prevent heart disease, as I am diabetic.....I also consume a glass of red wine everynight, 7 days per week!
