Are you COMMITTED? NO EXCUSES!!!

I have recently had a flurry of clients cancel our appointments/workout sessions at the last minute for whatever reason...."I am busy buying a wedding dress," or...."I can't find a babysitter," or "whatever!"
On the wedding dress......First, train with me so you'll be able to fit that fat ass in a new wedding dress! ...Babysitter? Do you think I'm stupid? We have childcare available at the gym AT NO CHARGE! Why shell out money on a babysitter? That is STUPID!!!
Look it people! Are you committed? Not to me, forget me.....to YOU and to your GOALS! I NEVER miss a scheduled workout! NEVER! It is no longer a hobby, it is a lifestyle, no actually, A LIFE NECESSITY!
I sometimes travel on business. You know what I do. When I am making hotel reservations I call the front desk and inquire as to where the nearest health club is located. Not the hotel cardio room, but a REAL GYM! It is just as important for me to have a gym to train in as it is to have a bed to sleep in. They are both necessities!
So stop a minute and reflect on what is truly important in your life. Are you happy with what you see in the mirror? If not, get off that fat ass and hit the gym! Pump some iron, heave some lead, HOO-YAH!

Don't be a supplement junkie!!!

I recently read the autobiography "Romo" by Bill Romonowski. It was interesting that he takes so many differnt pills a day. He is what I term a supplement junkie! Don't fall into this trap!
There are some supplements I feel everyone needs to ensure good health but do not go the extreme!

I personally follow and highly recommend a higher protein diet (especially if you exercise often). My favorite protein supplement is Syntha-6 by BSN. It can be purchased online or at a local GNC. It is more of a high protein meal replacement, with added fiber. I drink 1-2 of these per day. I simply add 1 and 1 half scoops to 6 ounces of cold water and mix it in a shaker bottle. This takes care of my high protein snacks in between meals. So our protein bases are covered.

Believe it or not, I DO NOT even take a multi-vitamin! I do take the following everyday though, 4 (1000 mg) fish oil capsules per day (we must get our Omega-3!), 30 mg of Zinc, 2 grams of vitamin C and 400 IU of Vitmamin E. To ensure prostate health I take 12 mg of Lycopene per day. To maintain high nitric oxide levels in the blood and for circulatory health I take 4 grams of L-Arginine each day. THIS IS ALL I TAKE......Approximately a dozen pills per day. To some folks this may seem like quite a bit...but its not, especially compared to some supplement junkies!

MEN: I highly recommend the Lycopene capsules (can be purchased at any Walgreens or CVS) and I also highly recommend an NO (Nitric Oxide) supplement. This can actually prevent ED and is essential of penile health! No kidding! Your typical NO product has several versions of L-Arginine in it. I recommend starting at a dose of 6 grams per day and after a couple of months, tapering down to a maintenance dose of 4 grams per day. Try it, you'll be hooked! So will your lover/partner! Hoo-yah!!!

Thought for the day and rule to live by!

"The secret to living to 100 years old is to sweat everyday!"

Think about it, we MUST remain active. The main cause of obesity is the sedentary lifestyle Americans live, lack of exercise.......
Make exercise a part of your lifestyle each and everyday. This doesn't necessarily mean going to the gym everyday, it could mean gardening! The key is to remain ACTIVE.

My recommended diet for fat loss!

Basically Folks, I recommend the Atkins Diet. This diet is actually very easy and quite enjoyable to follow. Eliminate all starches from your dietary selections, no bread, rice, pasta, nor potatoes. Limit your fruit to a small portion of only the freashest (in season) varieties lowest in sugar contect (no bananas or pineapple). Eat all the vegetables you can stand, and eat all sorts of meats, cheeses, whole eggs. Your breakfast can be an omelete, your lunch can be a grilled chicken caeser salad, snack on nuts such as almonds or macadamia and supper can be a juicy steak and a side of brocolli! Desert can be sugar free jello and sugar free cool-whip. A diet such as this one will cause your body to lose fat! Trust me on this, it will! Atkins rocks! Atkins diet is the Bomb, Baby!

Scrotal Hernia Impact On Dimished Abilities

Sometimes people will try to ignore the symptoms -- discomfort, a lump appearing on their abdomen, even pain. Left untreated, hernias can become serious and even fatal conditions.

A study showed that scrotal hernia repair caused a impact on sexual function after surgery. There was no case of surgery-related erectile dysfunction. Therefore, one of the major indications to repair large scrotal hernias may be to improve the quality of sexual life.

Poll Results: Does Vasectomy Affect Performance Abilities?

Mine was had in 1983 and had no trouble. I waited a day for the swelling to subside and guess what? No problems and no complaints and no more children which made both my wife and me happy. One caution, there are studies that show men who have had vasectomies.. are prone to a rare form of dementia....
